Electronic assemblies and electronic boards production

CTA manufactures and assembles electronic boards for third parties: from PTH completions to SMT productions, we offer timely assembly services, with a guarantee of compliance with agreed delivery times and requirements.

Our central division, CTA Electronics, also deals with electronic design , therefore our know-how in the electronic field is extremely solid and proven. The advantage of outsourcing the production of electronic boards to a company that has, internally, a strong orientation to industrial electronics, allows the tranquility of knowing your product entrusted to expert hands who deal with great knowledge not only with the assembly process, but also with quality testing and with any type of functional test.

Assembling electronic boards with both PTH and SMT technology is relatively simple, but guaranteeing constant quality, absolute compliance with delivery terms and complete support on the aspects dedicated to the quality of the assembled batches, loading custom firmware and functional tests requires a level of professionalism that very few normally offer.

Our electronic boards production systems are divided into a series of phases generally common to all batches destined for assembly. Below we specify the example of a medium-sized production order that requires SMT assembly, PTH completion and finally conformal coating process.

• Inbound logistics and management of incoming raw materials either from the Customer (in the subcontracted formula) or from our own supply chain (in the full outsourcing formula)
• Preparation of the materials
• Batch production process
• Optical inspection of the boards, performed on a sample basis or on the totality of the boards belonging to the production batch, based on some factors, including the production frequency of the board or the requirements deriving from particular product certifications
• Completion in PTH and welding by welding machine wave, by static crucible or manual welding by specialized operators, depending on the characteristics of the board and the size of the batch being processed
• Optical inspection
• Cleaning cycle of the printed circuit using special mechanisms equipped with rotating brushes
• Conformal coating process, with the use of rigorously selected quality varnishes of major brands, such as AVR80, Humiseal or Peters polyurethanes. The conformal coating is selectively applied to the boards by means of a selective robotic machine equipped with dispersion valves and needles.
• Packing
• Delivery to the Customer through scheduled daily deliveries by CTA logistics operators or shipment by express courier to any part of Italy, Europe or the world.
